Music brings sunshine

A LOCAL musician is calling on the community to help raise funds for the much loved Sunshine Hospice, formerly known as Katie Rose.
Iain McLean, a member of the Sunshine Coast’s Davonski Concert Orchestra, has spent many hours organising a special music concert to be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Hall at Noosaville on Sunday 22 May at 1.30pm.
“The Sunshine Hospice service is too important for the Sunshine Coast and we must do everything to support its reopening and provide our ongoing support when it does,” Mr McLean said.
The concert will feature a variety of performances including internationally known Esk choir, solo violinist Touki Wood accompanied by Tim Williams and laconic poet Ian McKay who will provide his quirky wit through words.
Tickets for this enjoyable musical afternoon can be purchased at all Sunshine Hospice Op Shops including the Tewantin shop in the Atrium, the Cooroy shop in Maple Lane and the also from the LiveLife Sunrise Beach Pharmacy.
All the proceeds go to the Sunshine Hospice formerly known as Katie Rose Cottage.
