Lunching with Richmond-great Roach

Pittsy

ONCE again it was a fantastic president’s lunch on Saturday at the Tigers’ home ground, with former Richmond great Michael Roach in front of some 75 guests.
A very humble champion of our game who answered every question asked of him and guaranteed he and wife Kerri will be heading back to Noosa.
Roach gave those present a great insight into what playing Aussie Rules was like in the ’80s, and was happy to name Dale Weightman as the best player he had played with and Geoff Southby as his toughest opponent. Once again he rated Wayne Carey as the best player he had ever seen, a common opinion of many footy followers including this writer.
Another memorable function with a massive thank you to all those that helped put the day together.
