SPRING has sprung and Tourism Noosa is predicting a strong tourism season for local operators and businesses.
The beginning of spring is marked Noosa-style with the launch of the Noosa Jazz Festival on 4 September, which Tourism Noosa general manager Damien Massingham predicts will bring thousands of visitors to the region for the four-day event.
“The forecast for the September school holidays is also looking strong with our Visitor Information Centre team members reporting bookings are looking healthy, with most properties around Hastings Street booked,” he said.
If you haven’t’ booked your holiday getaway yet, then don’t worry, there is still availability throughout Noosaville and Sunshine Beach.
Mr Massingham said the forecast good weather has tour operators, restaurants and accommodation providers looking forward to welcoming many visitors in what will be a great tourism season this September.
But it looks like visitors are already on their way to Noosa with many people from Brisbane, Melbourne, Toowoomba and surrounding areas making the most of a wet afternoon at Hastings Street, last weekend.
