Enjoy a night-time wander?

IF TREKKING through the natural bush, enjoying a night-time wander through a sound garden and sharing a meal with new friends sounds like your piece of heaven, then don’t miss your chance to register for the 2014 Great Noosa Trail Walk.
The event is limited to 150 places to maintain the community atmosphere that has made the event so popular.
Now in its second year, the walk will be held over three days from 4 October, starting at the Cooroy Lower Mill site, the walk will showcase the region’s natural beauty and travel through the hinterland towns of Cooroy, Kin Kin, Cooran and Pomona.
Event organiser Shaun Walsh said there are a few changes to the route and activities this year, but promises the walk will be even more enjoyable than last year.
“It is looking like we will book out and have a full contingent of walkers enjoying the majesty of the Noosa hinterland,” he said.
While the hiking is fantastic, the event offers an entertainment and social activity program which includes a wander through local artist Steve Weiss’s Kin Kin Sound Garden, getting stuck into the Kin Kin Yarn Festival with curry and heading along to the Cooran acoustic night to rest and relax to some soothing tunes.
Camping is included in the booking fee but if you prefer sleeping five-stars rather than under the stars, there are guest houses and accommodation along the way that you can also book.
The 2014 Great Noosa Trail Walk is $180 per person. For more details on what is included in the booking fee and to find out how you can register, visit www.greatnoosatrailwalk.com.au.
