Heart for Marina, Marina, Marina

By JONATHON HOWARD

NOOSA Marina is now filled with local businesses following the new store opening of Hearts and Minds Art and the addition of a new restaurant, Italian Marina Pizza-Restaurant, which will open this Saturday 6 September.
Noosa shoppers are on the hunt for original, quality products as Hearts and Minds Art opened its second store.
Owners Julie Holland and Greg Peeler have extended their business into the large gallery space at the Marina, while retaining their store on Hastings Street.
“We are very excited to be at the beautiful Noosa Marina,” Ms Holland said.
“We will continue to offer our customers great service and quality items as well as to continue to profile so many wonderful artists; from writers to painters, ceramicists to furniture makers.
“The space is so large, light and airy that pieces can really be viewed to advantage. We would love to welcome locals and visitors to find their perfect item, or to source something unique for them.”
Meanwhile, Italian Marina Pizza-Restaurant owner Michelangelo Cecconi is pleased to announce the opening of his third restaurant.
And he’s planning a big opening night of tastings from his wood-fired oven and homemade pastas.
“To celebrate our kick off on 6 September from 5pm to 10.30pm, the grand opening will include free tasting of some of our chef’s top dishes and pizzas from our wood fire oven, combined with wines and beers,” Michelangelo said.
Michelangelo was born and raised in Florence and has 14 years’ experience in the restaurant industry and this is his third successful venue.
After his last busy Sydney venue “The Bandstandcafe” in Darlinghurst, he decided that it was the right time to change both life and location to Noosa.
