Soaring sounds of the Eagles

NO band is perhaps as widely known and so widely loved as the Eagles, and no tribute band captures their sound as well as The Eagels Band.
Each of these six musicians makes their sole duty to present the audience with everything they’ve got. This is truly the best gift any Eagles fan could receive – they are sensational you’ll could be forgiven for mistaking them for the originals.
While they spell their name differently, The Eagels Band is still a stunningly accurate tribute to the famous 1970s group from Southern California.
They take in all of the Eagles greatest hits such as Take It Easy, Desperado, Hotel California and New Kid In Town as well as deep album tracks like Wasted Time and even Don Henley and Joe Walsh solo material like Heart of the Matter and Rocky Mountain Way.
Presenting a performance that is a raucous, rock ‘n’ roll show one minute and an intimate acoustic show the next, The Eagels Band performance is a hit with music lovers of all ages.
Greg Berriman on guitar and vocals performs the thin lipped soul songs of Eagles key songwriter Don Henley and many of the guitar licks of Felder and Walsh.
Glen Moffatt is the Glenn Frey of the group playing guitar and also lead and backing vocals.
Tamihana Johnston on guitar and vocals contributes his musical versatility and brilliant harmony vocals.
Jim Cowling on drums and vocals has been playing professional since he was 16 years old and lays down the back beats for the band.
While Doug De Jong on bass and Lance Larsen on keyboard and guitar rounds out the mix.
The Eagels will be performing at Tewantin Noosa RSL on Friday 7 October, at 8pm. Entry is $20 for non-members and just $10 for members. Tickets are available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
