Bikies spread Christmas cheer

MORE than 200 motorbikes and their riders will make their way from Caloundra to Marcoola this Saturday as part of the annual Ulysses Club Sunshine Coast branch toy drive.
Challenging the biker stereotype, the club members will adorn their bikes with soft toys, tinsel and Christmas baubles as they make their way to the Ramada resort, Marcoola.
The ride is the club’s annual Christmas charity appeal, with all donations of new toys, books and non-perishable foods donated to the Pyjama Foundations in support of their work with children in foster care on the Sunshine Coast.
Club riders Kev and Maureen Johnson have more than 50 years’ riding experience between them and said they had received great support from the community already.
The riders will converge on the Ramada resort, David Low Way, Marcoola, for an after party and everyone is welcome to come along and join the party.
The bikes leave Caloundra at 9am and all road registered bikes are welcome. For more information or to join the ride, phone Maureen on 0405 433 083.
