Here’s cheers to a smart step

FEDERAL State School students were excited with the introduction of re-usable BioCups for the school’s tuckshop.
The BioCups was just a small step in the school’s committment to supporting the environment as well as promoting the health and well-being of students.
The school’s investment in BioCups will help reduce waste while at the same time allow students to have freshly prepared healthy drinks.
“Our tuckshop has introduced a whole food philosophy and provides students with healthy food options including fruit smoothies, homemade popsicles and fun kid-friendly salads every week,” Bronwyn Rolstone-Wood, the school’s administration officer, said: “So far this term students have enjoyed chop chop noodle, rainbow and mean bean pasta salads.
“The new healthy options are very affordable and have been a huge success.
Federal State School is located 10 minutes north of Cooroy and has a total of 93 students.
If you would like to visit the school and see how they can make a difference in your child’s world please call Bronwyn on 5480 8600 to make an appointment or email admin@federalss.eq.edu.au.
