NOOSA Masters Swim Club finished its 2014 interclub competition on a high, after 16 members travelled to Brisbane last Saturday.
They were at the annual twilight meet hosted by the Aqualicious Masters Swim Club at the Centenary swim centre, Spring Hill.
Credit to the Aqualicious club and the pool management for clearing debris following the violent storm that struck Brisbane last week.
Twelve masters swim clubs attended including Sydney’s Wett Ones and Victoria’s Glamourhead Sharks.
Redland Bay relay swimmers won the prestigious Ian Davis memorial 4 X 100 metres freestyle relay, finishing closest to their nominated time.
Ian’s life was cut short while competing in masters competition on 15 May, 2010.
Noosa’s team of 16 won the trophy for the club with the highest points, calculated on the aggregate achieved by all their swimmers.
Club captains Helen Malar and Adrian Wilson accepted this trophy on behalf of their club.
