School set for festive fair effort

HO Ho Ho! Next Monday 8 December, Noosaville State School will be holding its inaugural Christmas Fair.
Starting at 2.35pm, there will be a host of class stalls with fete favourites such as the chocolate throw, a gem hunt, drag-a-drink, surprise jar stand, decorate a biscuit, a disco room, make your own reindeer food and many more.
There is a long list of entertainment options for the kids – including camel rides and bouncy castles, shopping and Pimms for Mum and an ice cold beer for Dad. There will, of course, be lots of delicious food for the whole family. Some terrific entertainment will be happening through the afternoon with Sage Music Academy, Triple Minx, a great local girl band on the rise, and renowned magician Nickelby all performing.
The Noosaville School Choir will also be singing Christmas carols to finish off the afternoon.
A selection of small local business owners will also be selling everything from home-made dolls, soaps, jewellery, and cards to body shop and Tupperware. And not forgetting the four-legged family members, there will also be pet treats for sale from Bark and Bakery. Noosaville State School P&C president Faye Hartley-Youens said the idea was to create a community event that can become part of the festive season calendar in Noosa.
“Most of our local schools have a spring fair and we didn’t want to compete with what is done so well,” she said.
“We do however, believe that we have something quite unique and something for everyone at our Christmas fair. In the spirit of the school’s motto – being the best we can be, everyone is looking forward to ending the year on a happy, festive note.”
