Luxury designer apartments

LOCAL developers are hoping a luxury Stephen Kidd-designed apartment building will get the go-ahead from council in the coming months.
The development at number 279 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, will feature six, two and three-bedroom apartments designed to meet impeccable standards expected in such a desirable location.
Kidd + Co principal Stephen Kidd said, if approved, the development would be the first new development at this end of Gympie Terrace since his last design seven years ago.
Mr Kidd, who has designed the apartments, said the units would be ideally suited to retirees who desired a low-maintenance, high-quality lifestyle, close to everything they could need.
The design will feature three levels, with two apartments on each floor. The ground floor apartments will have access to a private pool each, while the penthouses will carry Kidd+Co’s classic design in the form of raked ceilings.
All of the living areas face northeast, positioned to maximise the river views, with careful consideration to amplify the use of space for storage options.
The apartments will also feature state-of-the-art technology such as lift access and rotating stacker garaging, which is believed to be the first of its kind in Noosa.
The apartments will be the third major development proposal for the Noosa region since the start of the year, with the Civic Shopping Centre hoping to expand and the Cooroy service station development also hoping to get the green light.
Marketing agent Century 21 Conolly Hay Group co-principal David Conolly said properties like this were rare at this end of Gympie Terrace.
“This position showcases one of the most stunning Noosa River vistas available with a view stretching all the way to the river mouth,” he said.
The plans are subject to Noosa Council’s final approval but Mr Conolly said given the rarity of this unique development opportunity, buyers were urged to register their interest in securing one of the apartments.
