Police are urging motorists to drive to the conditions after two accidents along Eumundi-Noosa Road last Thursday.
Noosa Heads police officer in charge Senior Sergeant Steve McReight said driver behaviour was a big contributor to accidents.
“No matter what road you are on, you just have to drive to the conditions,” he said.
Sen Sgt McReight said Eumundi-Noosa Road had “never been the best road” but issues such as failure to give way, following too close and wildlife were also contributors to traffic issues.
“The big thing is watch what you’re doing, don’t drive too fast, don’t drive tired, don’t drive full of grog, obey the speed limits and don’t follow too close,” he said.
Road user Stuart Jarman said there were a few contributing factors.
“Very bumpy and single lane into Noosa is silly with the amount of traffic that’s on that road,” he said.
