Mixed bag for Noosa sides

NOOSA Gold Under-7 played an impressive game against the Mooloolaba side. Although they were defeated 6-0, their skills are improving incredibly each week. Montana Wards initiative in attacking, earned her player of the match.
The game started slowly for Under-7 Black and the Mooloolaba Beamers, with lots of great play for both sides despite no score by half time. In the second half, Eamon Shemansky took hold of the game and shot through two sensational goals, giving Under-7 Black a 2-nil lead, as well as taking home this week’s encouragement award. Isaac Benjamin had a great day as goalie, while Joe Maskall and Jake MacDonald really got into the game and showing many of the skills their coach Andy has taught them.
In Under-12, Noosa Gold played a great game against the skilled Bli Bli Jousters, and although they went down 2-0 were in no way disgraced. Excellent goalie work by Luke Poulton and Jay Medhurst kept the Jousters score low and, although Noosa were unlucky not to score, kept the pressure on the entire match. Mid-fielder Jack Pearce was outstanding once again and took home Player of the Match.
