Mazda drops in for one amazing launch

IT’S not every day a car is delivered to Noosa Main Beach by helicopter but that was the chosen delivery method for Mazda as they launched their latest car on Wednesday (5 August).
Assisted by the Professional Helicopter Services team, the Mazda MX-5 was lifted from a property on Noosa North Shore to a landing pad on Noosa Main Beach in front of special guests, Australian Mazda dealers and locals who sat on the beach to catch the action.
The Mazda MX-5 is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the latest model is certainly different from the first generation model released in 1989 that didn’t include Bluetooth, power steering, air-conditioning, Anti-Lock Braking System, Traction Control, Cruise Control and SBS airbags – all of which are now standard features for modern cars.
A choreographed horse routine followed the arrival of the car and was greeted with applause from the crowd.
Fireworks followed the launch ceremony, providing a great night’s entertainment for those who took to the beach with fish and chips to watch the show.
