THE Rococo Bistro and Bar Noosa Tigers have brought home two flags with the under-19 colts and under 13s both winning their respective division two titles.
A Keenan James goal in the final 10 seconds was enough to grant David ‘Tinman’ Carrol and his charges the 2016 premiership cup.
It was a fantastic effort from all concerned, considering at the start of the season player numbers were not looking flash.
The celebrations went into the beginning of this week (as they should) – great stuff boys, you are a massive part of the senior club.
A big congratulations to Damian ‘Butch’ Smith’s under -13s who completely dominated their grand final against Nambour at Maroochydore last Saturday.
This was another big, and the improvement among these kids throughout the season has just been outstanding.
I also must mention the efforts of two of our under 13-girls, Maggie Harmer and Bella Smith, who were a vital part of the premiership win and finished second and third in the league medal respectively.
Well done to all involved – the celebrations were pretty lively at the surf club last Sunday arvo.
Commiserations to our Reserves, under -17s and under -13 girls who all put up fantastic performances only to narrowly fall short at the final hurdle.
To make five grand finals was a huge effort by the Noosa Tigers as we already look to recruit and replenish player stocks for season 2016.
Remember to look at the website for all junior and senior presentation dates which are always a great way to celebrate the season just completed.
This writer can’t wait for the AFL finals to start, and I’m tipping West Coast, Hawthorn, Sydney and Adelaide this weekend.
