Cooroy-Eumundi Garden Club

Local History Group
COOROY-Noosa Family and Local History Group will meet at 1pm on Saturday 8 November, at 41 Miva Street, Cooroy. The “Writers Group” will entertain us with some of their essays written throughout the year and afternoon tea will follow the readings.
Members with German interests will discuss their findings on Thursday 6 and Tuesday 18 November.

Noosa Photo Club
THE next meeting of the Noosa Photo Club will be held on Monday 10 November, from 6.30pm for a 7pm start, at the Uniting Church, 6 Grasstree Court, Sunrise Beach.
The guest speaker for the evening is club member Bob Walpole, who will demonstrate photography technique. This will be followed by a short series of audio-visual entries by club members in audio-visual competition in September.

Christian Fellowship of Noosa

Camino Walk
IF you have walked, or are planning to walk, one of the Caminos of Santiago, you can meet up with other pilgrims on the Sunshine Coast. Sunshine Coast Alliance
WE are an incorporated community group of concerned long-term residents of Eumundi, Doonan, Verrierdale and Weyba Downs. The group was recently formed to be an advocating voice against proposed changes to our local government boundaries. Friday Environment Forum
AT the Friday Environment Forum on 7 November, Josh Jensen of Undersea Productions will present an update on his Noosa Underwater Biodiversity Assessment (NUBA). Josh is a marine biologist, cameraman and film-maker who has completed more than 50 dives in Noosa River to record the diversity of marine life to be found there. Whether your interest is in learning how to catch more fish, deciding the best places to dive or snorkel or making more informed management decisions, you’re sure to take new ideas from this talk. To hear Josh’s presentation come along to Noosa Parks Association’s Environment Centre, Wallace Drive, Noosaville. Coffee is available from 10am with the forum commencing at 10.30am. Come and Try Day
NOOSA Masters Swim Club is holding a Come and Try day on Sunday 16 November, 7.30am to 9am, at the Noosa Aquatic Centre. If you are 18-years-old or over and can swim 50 metres freestyle, you are most welcome to attend the NAC, where the club’s qualified coaches can help. Followed by a cup of coffee and a chat.
