Pride bestowed on Bristow and Brests

NOOSA will be represented at the Brisbane Pride Festival as two local personalities are nominated for awards.
Local architect and Sex Party candidate Robin Bristow has been nominated for Activist of the Year following his many achievements through advocacy for equal rights.
Joining Mr Bristow is local queen of the drag Melony Brests who has been nominated as Drag Performer of the Year following multiple, and hilarious, performances across the Coast.
The Gala recognises outstanding achievements in the LGBTIQA+ community and includes award categories such as Young Achiever, Volunteer of the Year, Best Licenced Venue and Community Support Group of the Year.
The 55th annual Queen’s Ball Awards Gala will take place at Brisbane City Hall on Saturday 11 June with tickets still on sale.
