Surfing legend in for a trim

It’s not every day a surfing legend drops into the local barbershop for a trim, but that’s just what Kelly Slater did on Monday 6 July.
Slater got along to Captain Slip Slop’s Barber Shop and Outfitters, Noosaville, for a trim and tidy-up on Monday afternoon after stopping at Maluka Produce for avocadoes and Droplet for a coffee kick.
Bean Drop owner Tim said his staff were shocked when the world champion walked in the door, even phoning Tim to tell him who had just entered the store.
Captain Slip Slop’s posted a photo of Slater in the barber’s chair to its Facebook and Instagram account with the caption: “We’re lucky to have rad people through our doors everyday but to have one of the most recognizable people on the planet and arguably one of the best athletes ever to take time to come visit us and have a laugh with the boys has got us stoked. Yew!“
Slater has been spotted at Buderim where he enjoyed a wholesome breakfast on Saturday.
