Taking control of cancer

ENCORE is coming to Noosa this February.
The free, eight-week exercise program is designed specifically for women who have experienced breast cancer at any time in their life.
The YWCA registered, Australia-wide program has been operating for over 30 years and is delivered by women who have experienced breast cancer.
The program targets side effects of surgery and treatment including pain, fatigue and loss of strength through mobility, stretching, aerobic and resistance exercises both on land and in the water.
The program also features guest speakers, links to local services and an opportunity to connect with women who have shared similar experiences in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
It aims to build self-esteem and assist in relieving stress while restoring a sense of control.
Participation is free by enrolment and medical approval is required before commencement.
