Add a splash of colour to your skills

THE Noosa Arts and Crafts Association is a not-for-profit organisation which is run mostly by volunteers who offer a range of classes and workshops for Noosa locals and visitors in their Wallace Park building in Noosaville.
Current classes include watercolour for intermediate level on a Monday from 1pm-4pm under the guidance of John Newman, a beginner’s class on painting with acrylics with Pam Taylor fortnightly on Saturdays from 9am to noon, and Janelle Turley leads crochet classes on Fridays from 9am to noon.
There is also a range of group classes including the writers’ group which meets on a Monday from 9.30am to 12.30pm, a mosaics workshop on Tuesdays from 1pm-4pm, a smocking group which meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month and a creative artists group which gathers each Thursday from 1pm-4pm.
All classes and workshops are open to members and non-members. Coming art and craft courses include:
29 August: A six-week course on watercolour for beginners held each Monday from 9am-noon and led by John Newman.
30 August: A six-week course on drawing for beginners held each Tuesday from 9am-noon and also led by John Newman.
1 September: John Pastoriza-Pinol will lead a botanical art workshop from 9am-4pm on Thursday 1 September and again on Friday 2 September.
6 September: Sara Bell will lead a six-week course on pencil portraits every Tuesday for six weeks from 1pm-4pm.
11 October: Sally Heron will lead a class on coiled pots on Tuesday 11 October from 9am-3pm.
Coming events include the Spring Exhibition that will open on Saturday 17 September from 10am and will feature displays on acrylics, mosaics, mixed media and much more until Saturday 24 September.
