Ladies – don’t forget your hat

PEREGIAN SPRINGS GOLF
EVERY year the Peregian Springs ladies vie for first prize at their Christmas golf day Ambrose event but most of the action happens before they tee off.
A Christmas hat is compulsory and it seems every year the ladies get more creative and hilarious with their designs.
This year there were: white Christmas hats; Santa down chimney hats; Christmas cake hats; presents hats; snowmen hats, Australiana Christmas hats and more.
The Ambrose event was followed by lunch, a wrap-up of the year’s highlights and various awards and acknowledgements.
Outgoing ladies captain Janet Young said the group has hosted some excellent events this year including the Ladies Invitational and the Challenge Cup and have raised lots of money for local charity the Cindy MacKenzie Foundation.
“The events have all been fun and successful. I want to thank everyone involved, including our generous sponsors who have helped to ensure that we have provided the best course, food and hospitality all year,” she said.
The winning team on the day with a score of 59.25 (and snowman hats) was Vickie Clark, Judy Young, Di Porter and Cassie Porter.
