YOU will be in a whole lot of trouble with Nan if you miss Sue McPherson’s screen debut at the national touring short film festival this weekend.
Flickerfest is heading to Noosa and local Eumundi writer Sue McPherson is set to make her debut with her short drama Nan and a Whole Lot of Trouble, a tender drama about identities.
“Regardless of who your mob is, stories are there to be shared,” Sue said.
“Flickerfest has given Nan, Min, Fuzzy and Trouble this grand opportunity and vehicle to reach large and diverse audiences throughout the country, a creator’s gift.”
The short film was selected for the 2016 Australian Competitive Program and premiered at Flickerfest in Sydney as part of the Best of Australian Shorts program.
Sue can add this achievement to a long line of accomplishments including publishing her first book Grace Beside Me in 2012 and receiving one of the first Kuril Dhagun Indigenous Writing Fellowships through the Queensland State Library.
You can catch all the trouble at the Flickerfest screening this Friday 12 February at The J, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads, from 7.30pm. Contact The J for more information on 5329 6560.
