Hand in hand… drugs and guns

TWO local men have been charged with drug offences after police searched a Noosaville home on Sunday.
Police from the Sunshine Coast District Gang Squad searched a home in Jacksonia Place, Noosaville, during which they said they found 350 MDMA pills, a quantity of steroids, a handgun and ammunition.
Police also said a search of a vehicle also uncovered a further 400 MDMA pills and cash.
Following the search a 34-year-old Peregian Springs man, an alleged member of a motorcycle club, was arrested and charged with a number of drug and weapons’ offences including three counts of possession of dangerous drugs and two counts of unlawful possession of weapons.
He was due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
A second 27-year-old man from Noosaville was also arrested and charged for possession of drugs.
The man is due to reappear in the Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court on 29 April.
