Jazz puzzle solved in six pieces

THE popular six-piece band, The Caxton Street Jazz Band, is coming to Noosa for Jazz at The J on Saturday 11 April.
The Caxton Street Band bring slick arrangements and a wide repertoire of early jazz, offering great appeal to jazz aficionados.
The dand said their inspiration was the classic hot jazz of the early 20th century and jazz clubs like the Noosa Jazz Club love to keep the flame alive with events such as Jazz at The J.
Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy classic jazz, “expertly played”, with John Braben on the trumpet, Paul Williams on the clarinet and tenor sax, Tom Nicolson taking up the trombone, banjo and vocals, Bernice Haydock on piano and vocals, Andrew Shaw on the double bass, and Bob Mair playing the drums and washboard.
The Caxton Street Jazz Band will play at The J, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads, on Saturday 11 April, from 7.30pm.
Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members and are available now by phoning the Jazz Club on 5447 2229.
