Noosa Heads Bowls Club
Tuesday men’s pairs winners last week were Danny Crameri and Ric McDonald. The runners-up prize went to Mat Pearson and Niven Gugich.
There was no ladies game on Wednesday due to the rain.
And, in a mixed up week, Friday Open Jackpot pairs was played on Thursday! Andrew and Marie McCall took the top spot with Ralphe Rickman and Gill Macdonald coming second.
Winners of the first-round losers section were Keith Musgrave and visitor Tony Shaw from Bega, NSW.
There’s great interest in the last ever Noosa Heads club championship pairs, to be played this weekend.
The quarters and semi-finals will be decided on Saturday with the final scheduled for 1pm Sunday.
That match will follow the very last club general meeting, at which a liquidator will be officially appointed and decisions made regarding the distribution of surplus funds to other bowls clubs on the coast.
The club’s lease expires in May when owner Coles takes over the Noosa Junction site.
