Dynamic Divine L’s

THE Divinyls are one of Australia’s most dynamic rock acts.
The Divine L’s tribute show not only recreates their iconic songs and sounds but also takes you on a journey back to the legendary days of the Australian pub rock scene.
The Divine L’s is fronted by local Noosa rock chick, Tracey Combes who grew up in a working class Brisbane suburb and was drawn to the music of Chrissie Amphlett and the Divinyls because it resonated with the rebel in her soul and gave her a hero who spoke for her.
Tracey’s already well-known to Australian audiences after being thrown in the rock ‘n’ roll deep end as an 18-year-old with Channel Seven’s touring showband, Moto X.
A decade of touring the biggest venues in the country with the Australian Meatloaf tribute show soon followed, where she thrilled audiences with her faithful recreations of the original album backing vocalist, Ellen Foley, and opened the shows with her amazing Bonnie Tyler tribute.
At numerous gigs over the years her renditions of Amphlett’s songs, Boys In Town and Make You Happy have crowded dance floors and left audiences screaming for more so the opportunity to pay homage to her hero was the next logical step in the evolution of this talented performer’s career.
Recreating her idol’s music is not taken lightly and Tracey has surrounded herself with the seasoned hard-rocking professionals of rock band, Siryn and together they deliver the most authentic experience possible.
You can catch the Divine L’s tribute show at Tewantin Noosa RSL on 10 October, from 8pm.
Tickets are free for members or $10 for non-members and are available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
