The insiders’ view of art

THE Noosa Shire is abuzz with working art studios and every now and then some of Noosa’s best artists open their doors to offer the public a look inside their creative hubs.
Local ceramic artist Wendy Britton is one such artist who opens her studio to the public annually.
This year, Wendy will open her studio on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November and invites the community to view her new work and see her inspirational surrounds.
Wendy began pottery as a hobby in 2003, but soon developed a passion for working with clay and graduated from TAFE with a Fine Arts Diploma in ceramics in 2009.
Since then, Wendy has been busy entering competitions and holding exhibitions, racking up a host of awards and recognitions.
Wendy said she is inspired by the natural surrounds of her home studio and she looks forward to welcoming the community to see where she works and view her new range of pieces.
Wendy’s studio is located at 27 Yatama Place, Cooroibah, and will be open from 10am to 4pm each day. For more information phone 5474 0104.
