One debonair Puss

By Hollie Harris

FOLLOWING the recent success of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, Little Seed Theatre Company is once again preparing to wow local audiences at The J with a beautiful perfomance of ‘Puss in Boots the Panto’ by Stuart Arden.
On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 January enjoy a performance of the classic panto tradition of audience engagement, as Tom discovers that he has inherited a cat, a talking cat who then in the most debonair manner sets out to fulfil Tom’s wish to marry a princess.
His brothers Dick and Harry do little to help. Ayla Long is splendid as the Queen, a blend of Her Majesty and Jack Sparrow. Jarvis Taylor is hilarious as he plays the recently widowed dame.
Richard Wallace from Little Seed said that this is not an end of year class production but a showcase of young local talent to entertain and inspire local audiences.
“The Noosa region has so much training for young people in the creative arts. ‘Puss in Boots’ is about showcasing this talent and providing a stage for young performers to show their ability. And it’s tremendous fun for actors and audiences alike,” Richard said.
‘Puss in Boots the Panto’ is on 12 January at 11am and 13 January at 11am and 6.30pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thej.com.au for $25 adult or $20 concessions, children and large groups.
