MEDIA reports are hinting at an announcement from Nationals Leader and Federal Wide Bay MP Warren Truss regarding his retirement as early as tomorrow.
There has been speculation for months Mr Truss would step aside as leader before the next Federal election.
His deputy Barnaby Joyce has already declared he will be a candidate for the leadership.
Local Labour candidate Lucy Stanton has also announced she has her sights set on Wide Bay in the coming 2016 Federal election.
