Waves of tourism awards

Three local businesses have come out winners at this year’s Sunshine Coast Business Awards.
Noosa’s iconic Festival of Surfing, which celebrates 25 years next year, won the award for Tourism Festivals and Events while Cooroy-based Ausmar Group won the award for Customer Service and Engagement at the 7 November event.
Noosa River and Canal Cruises took out top honours with the award for Tourism Tours with owners Kym and Gary Logan saying they were both excited and surprised at the win.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone for supporting us,” they said.
“We are grateful beyond words.
“We look forward to our continued growth and ensuring our customers’ expectations are exceeded.”
The Sunshine Coast Business Awards were presented at a gala event at Twin Waters Resort where 27 winners were announced throughout the night.
