Bookfest proceeds for community

The Rotary Noosa Daybreak annual Bookfest Noosa is back again, with three days of bargains at the Noosa Leisure Centre.
The event is the group’s largest fund-raising event for the year, with all proceeds from the sale donated back to the community.
This year’s event will support Sunshine Butterflies and the Hear and Say Sunshine Coast Centre, as well as reward students for their creative writing and artwork.
Books are all at low prices, including thousands of children’s books from just $1. There are also lots of prizes to win throughout the weekend, a barbecue and drink stall, plus thousands of books to browse through and restock the library.
Also throughout the event, on display will be the entries of the Finalists and the Winners of the Noosa Primary Schools Writing Competition along with posters by their schools, for everyone to view.
The fund-raising event will run from Friday 5 May to Sunday 7 May from 9am-5pm each day at the Leisure Centre, Wallace Drive, Noosaville. For more information, phone Rotary Noosa Daybreak on 1300 791 226.
Book donations to the Bookfest Noosa may be dropped off at the main entrance of Noosa Leisure Centre, in Wallace Drive, Noosaville.
