NOOSA Council has voted to refuse a quad bike tour operator’s request to have a sunset clause removed from their development approval.
Instead, Noosa Council voted to align the sunset clause end date with the lapsing date of the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection permit that allows the company to operate in the Woondum National park.
Both the development approval and the permit to operate in the park will lapse on 31 March 2018.
The quad bike tour operator made an application to council to remove the sunset clause from the development application that refers to the business headquarters on Tablelands Road, Cooran, earlier this month.
In a report to Council, Council staff recommended the removal of the clause but councillors rejected the recommendation in favour of aligning the two permit lapse dates.
