Soloists, groups, young and old took their positions along the Noosa riverside on Saturday to sing their way into the finals of the Australian National Busking Championships.
President Allan Spencer said the event had doubled in numbers since last year with 50 acts each given a half hour slot to strut their stuff while four roaming judges made their decisions and audiences selected their favourites.
The championships now in its eighth year began in Cooma and travels across regional towns around the country including Stanthorpe, Ballarat, Narooma, Peak Hill and Gundagai.
The overall winner of the Noosa busking championships was Danny Horne and finalists in the competition performed at a concert on Sunday as part of the Come Together Festival.
