Gators eaten alive

By BRUCE BLAKEMORE

NOOSA TABLE TENNIS

Spring Four-person challenge: Round 3: Piranhas (A. Munro, M. Clarke, S. Campbell, J. Mikkelson) 8 d Gators (R. Gore, J. Murphy, B. Muller, R. Yao) 7.
Brad’s exceptional performance in winning his three singles unfortunately was spoiled by his team’s loss in all five doubles and ultimately the match.
Barracudas (R. Wheller, J. Brown, J. Campbell, S. Lidden) 7 d Raptors (K. McDonald, C. Barry, C. Galea) 4.
It was a brave attempt by the Raptors despite being one player short but the overall consistency of Roger and his youthful team are proving that they are rightful favourites this season.
Marlins (S. Ciercan, S. Gardner, P. Clive, R. Byrne) 8 d Mantis (B. Brown, O. Estraviz, L. Gore, W. Byrne) 7.
Perhaps the correct team won here as the Marlin’s Sig and Steve secured a perfect singles’ result setting up a likely but narrow victory.
Competition night is Wednesday from 7 pm there is also practice session on Monday nights from 7.15 pm. Social groups meet three afternoons a week.
All sessions are held at the Bicentennial centre Sunshine beach.
