Christmas spirit overtakes Tewantin

The Tewantin Traders have again dug deep to provide Christmas in Tewantin, an event proudly sponsored by some of the retailers and businesses in Tewantin.
Spokeswoman Barbara Sheriff said trades were lucky enough to hear from Mrs Claus, that Santa would be dropping in to say hello to all the Tewantin children on Monday 18 December between 9.30-11.30am.
“He will be coming to town in his horse and cart to say hello and give out a little gift to the kids,” she said.
“There will be horse and cart rides for the children and parents during this time, and our wonderful Tewantin Fire Brigade will also be dropping in to say hello. So be sure to drop in with your children to Tewantin on Monday in the morning and why not follow the visit up by stopping and having a bite to eat and drink and shop in our little village.”
Barbara also thanked the traders who contributed the wonderful solar lights and decorations to Christmas in Tewantin.
