Pirates of the Panto

By Hollie Harris

Noosa Arts Theatre sets sail with a Pirates of the Panto in the new year so join us, as Zac Sparrow (Sean McDermott) and his family journey across the seven seas to the island of Discomania in search of buried treasure.
A dastardly pirate captain (Stuart Koy), a swashbuckling hero, a saucy dame (Sheila Oliver), glamorous girls, ruthless pirates and a royal queen all venture onto the high seas and end up on a disco-themed island. This is “Pirates of the Panto”, this year’s must-see pantomime. A sparkling pantomime full of songs, jokes, treasure trove chases, disco dancing competitions – a superb start to the year.
Great entertainment for the whole family. Your kids are going to have a wonderful time at Pirates of the Panto, presented by the Noosa Arts Theatre in January.
This is an epic tale about Zac Sparrow, who just stole a treasure map and a pirate ship. He and his family are then off on an incredible adventure to Discomania to find a treasure. But first, they must battle Spongebag and his band of pirates who were able to sneak up into their boat. Upon their arrival at Discomania, the family and the pirates are welcomed by Queen Chaka Khan and her disco-dancing minions.
Join the talented cast and crew on this adventure this January on Saturdays at 11am and 2pm 6, 13, 20 January 2018, Sundays at 1pm and 4pm 7, 14, 21 January 2018. All tickets $15. Bookings: Box office Tue to Fri, 10am to 2pm 5449 9343.
