Noosa turns a little French for film festival

OOH la la! Noosa turns French as a well-loved film festival visits the beautiful region for the first time.
The Alliance Francaise de la Sunshine Coast brings a taste of France to the Sunshine Coast each year with a weekend of French Films traditionally screened exclusively in Nambour.
However this year, The Sunshine Coast French Film Festival has collaborated with the Noosa Film Society to bring a little bit of France to Noosa.
Now in its ninth year, the weekend event will run from 6 to 8 May screening five fabulous films selected from the National French Film Festival as well as three additional special events.
The Festival launches on Friday 6 May at Noosa 5 Cinemas with a Gala Soiree, which includes a welcome drink, hot and cold canapes and a raffle with amazing prizes before the screening of the Colcoa French Film Festival Audience Award, Blind Date.
On Saturday 7 May settle in for a French thriller with The Measure of a Man and in between screenings head to the Hot Bread Shop bistro, just down the street in The Junction, to enjoy a beautiful French meal.
On Sunday the festival moves over to the Majestic Cinema in Nambour for two films, Macadam Stories and Mon Roi. Between films, enjoy tapas and wine at the Bistro Bar in Nambour.
Get together with your friends for this unique opportunity to taste some of the best French films and food. Tickets are on sale now, full prices and to make bookings for meals head to afsunshinecoast.org.au
