Ladies rise to education challenge

The third annual Trivielle night, held at the Boathouse, Noosaville, was another roaring success with tickets to the ladies-only event sold out weeks in advance.
The trivia night is held to raise funds for the Australian Himalayan Foundation which support girls’ education in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan.
Event organisers Susie Pitts, Krista Waddell and Heather McNeice will travel to Bhutan to deliver donated items such as warm clothing and stationery.
More than $3900 was raised on the night from a combination of ticket sales, games and raffle tickets – every $100 raised provides one year’s education for a girl.
A three course luncheon is planned for 15 August to help the women reach their $20,000 goal.
Tickets are still available to the luncheon at Gastons, Noosa Heads.
