Musicians roamed the Noosa River foreshore on the weekend as Noosa hosted its inaugural Australian National Busking Championships regional finals.
The Noosa Busking Championships are part of a nationwide cultural celebration of music and street performance with five regional competitions around Australian in 2017.
The busking championships were presented by the Rotary Club of Noosa Heads and the Noosa Come Together Festival with profits to be distributed to local disability charities including the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club’s Sailability program.
Winners from regional competitions will compete in the grand final of the National Busking Competition to be held in Cooma, NSW, in November.
