Australia’s naval and war history bared

MARY Ryan’s Noosa is pleased to welcome Australian media commentator and author Mike Carlton to Noosa as he shares a story of Australia’s history.
In his latest book, Flagship: The Cruiser HMAS Australia II, Mike wows readers with his inimitable panache and flawless research, and tells the story of Australia, which encompasses the era’s fascinating naval and social history.
From 1928-1942 the battle cruiser Australia II carved a unique place in Australian naval and war history, and Mike’s retelling of murder, battles, and kamikaze aircraft will have you turning the page.
Join Mike at the Noosa Boatshed, Noosaville, on Sunday 31 July from noon. Tickets $49 and include a three-course lunch and glass of wine.
Bookings are essential, phone 5455 4848 to reserve your seat.
