Helping women find their tribe

A LOCAL real estate agent is not only offering new female residents a home, but also a social life after gifting memberships to Noosa’s over 30s club for women.
Life Beyond 30 founder Wendy Wilson said Robert James Realty sales agent Penny Neep had helped women “find their tribe” by not only referring buyers to the LB30 group but also gifting them memberships once they move to Noosa.
The group is for women over 30 and offers members the chance to catch up with like-minded women or make new friends while trying new experiences.
Local real estate agent Penny Neep for Robert James Realty has been a member for nearly four years and said one day she had a “lightbulb moment”.
“I honestly don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner,” she said.
“I’ve often told buyers about (LB30) but I only thought of offering to join them up when I went to a spa day with some of the girls and met up with one of my buyers and she was saying how much she really enjoyed being part of the social group.”
Ms Neep has already gifted membership to one buyer and will soon help more women “find their tribe”.
“One of my recent buyers is moving from Sydney and she’s looking forward to joining the group, as well as another from Singapore,” she said.
“What could be better than an introduction to some local, friendly, inspiring girls, all of whom have been the new girl in the area?”
Ms Wilson said the gifted membership was a great initiative for women who were new to the area.
“What a great idea: here’s a house and here’s a social life,” she said.
“Many new female residents to Noosa find us quickly but some can take a year or two so this is a great way to let people know about us as soon as they move here.
“It’s great for the area because it’s helping people to feel connected.”
Members of LB30 also hold a business connection group that meets fortnightly and is based on the ethos of collaboration, not competition.
LB30 currently has 140 members in Noosa as well as a branch in Buderim and Brisbane. Anyone who would like more information about LB30 can visit their website www.lifebeyond30.com.au.
