Cool cat vibe at festival

THE Noosa Jazz Festival is back for another year with a stellar line-up including some great local talent and a cool cat vibe for this year’s festival.
Noosa Jazz Festival is excited to embrace a laid-back style for 2015 offering event-goers a stylish alfresco experience encouraging them to bring along rugs, lounge chairs and a picnic to enjoy the sounds of jazz by the Noosa River.
The Festival Village, located in Noosa Heads Lions Park just near Hastings Street, will offer multiple stages with more than 45 performances as well as workshops, master classes, jazz river cruises, the legends lunch series, big bands, swing bands, soul bands, jazz bands and Australian Jazz royalty.
Treat yourself to delicious food and wine from the festival’s food stalls and bars and shop for treasures at the jazz market stalls.
Highlighting Noosa Jazz Festival’s commitment to investing in the youth and industry development, jazz bands from Sunshine Coast Grammar School, St Andrew’s Anglican College, St Teresa’s Soul Collective, James Nash State High School will gain unforgettable experience through the Youth in Jazz program, with more Youth in Jazz artists still to be announced.
Former Queen of Pop Colleen Hewett will join Wendy Matthews in the impressive line-up that includes acts such as Emma Pask, Darren Percival, Todd Hardy and Anita Spring, Brisbane Jazz Club Big Band, Swing Alive and so many more great acts.
The festival runs from Thursday 3 September to Sunday 6 September, with stay-and-play accommodation packages and a range of ticket options including family passes, VIP upgrades, and group discounts now available for purchase via the Noosa Jazz Festival website www.noosajazz.com.au.
