Prinnie ready to rock the long weekend

VOCAL powerhouse, Prinnie Stevens is to join Michael Falzon, Luke Kennedy and Rob Mills as special guest at this year’s Noosa Long Weekend Festival performances of Swing on This.
Prinnie, known for her knock out performances on the first season of The Voice, has had a lustrous international career and is heading to Noosa to wow audiences with her amazing vocals and outstanding talent.
Noosa Long Weekend director Ian Mackeller said he was thrilled to welcome even more talent to the annual event.
“We are thrilled to welcome Prinnie Stevens to this year’s festival, what a fantastic addition to the already phenomenal talent we will be hosting throughout this year’s festival,” he said.
Prinnie burst on to the scene at 17, performing in the Australian premiere of Rent: The Musical. From there she was in constant demand, performing in musical theatre in shows such as Leader of the Pack and Footloose.
It was her Helpmann nominated performance in Oh, What A Night! that took her to the next level – she was asked to move to New York and front an all-girl group for Sony Music.
While in New York, Prinnie learned her craft as a recording artist. She worked with Dallas Austin, Lashawn Daniels and the legendary Rodney Jerkins. She performed alongside Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Mary J Blige and John Legend.
Despite this success, Australia kept calling and Prinnie returned to her homeland. She continued to work with the best Australian talents such as Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.
Prinnie chose to step out and try something new when she auditioned for The Voice. She could not have imagined the success of the show nor the opportunities that would arise having made the top four in Team Joel.
Since The Voice, Prinnie has had continued success. She teamed up with Mahalia Barnes to release an album of soulful duets. Prinnie + Mahalia: Come Together debuted at Number One on the R&B/Soul charts in October through Universal Music.
In 2013, Prinnie signed to Universal Music as a solo artist and released single “Don’t wake me up”. The song was number one, added across the board to Australian radio and continued to have much success.
Catch Prinnie and all the action when the Noosa Long Weekend Festival takes over the region from 15 to 24 July. For full event details or to purchase tickets head to www.noosalongweekend.com.au
