Don’t bag the environment

BOOMERANG Bags are slowly spreading across the Noosa Shire, with the latest batch to be launched at The Source Bulk Foods in the Junction this week.
The Source Bulk Foods is the fifth local business to support a plastic-free Noosa shire with the bags to be officially launched on Friday 15 July at 10am.
The borrow and bring back bags are also available from the Bent Banana, Raw Energy Peregian, Pittsy and Emma’s in Tewantin and Greenacre Organics in Eumundi with customers able to pick up from one location and drop off at another.
Boomerang Bag project manager Desire Gralton said volunteers are busy making more and more recycled bags and is looking for local businesses who want to join the “plastic-free” journey.
If you are a business owner and would like to give plastic bags the flick or offer customers an alternative, call Desire on 0427 596 478.
