Grand opening for market

THE new Peregian Village Market is ready to open its doors to the public with a special grand opening planned for the community.
The development, located on David Low Way, was driven by the Scanlon Group and completes the Peregian Village precinct with a shopping centre.
The market is anchored by a flagship IGA store, which is owned and operated by Roz and Michael White, and its level of extensive design development and high-end quality fit-out aims to offer a fresh new shopping experience.
Other tenants in the 400 square metres of speciality retail include Peregian’s Healthsave Pharmacy in its spacious and well-appointed store and Cellarbrations bottleshop, operated by the Peregian Beach Hotel.
Sunshine Coast businessman Tony Scanlon has owned the site in Peregian Beach for more than 15 years and said he knows the Peregian community has been looking forward to the centre opening and is excited to support the local owners and operators.
“This fits with our vision of local development, local jobs and local ownership and we are extremely proud to deliver this new marketplace development, to enhance the growing reputation of Peregian Beach as the jewel in the crown of the Sunshine Coast,” he said.
The construction of Peregian Village Market was delivered by Sunshine Coast builder Evans Built.
It is believed that more than 300 jobs were generated during the construction phase of Peregian Village Market, with a further 100 job opportunities created in the retail and hospitality sectors upon operation.
Peregian Village Market is located at 215 David Low Way, Peregian, and will be officially opened by Noosa Mayor Tony Wellington on Wednesday 21 September at 10am.
Peregian Village Market represents stage one of the Scanlon Group development on the 23,000sqm site with stage two, the Essence of Peregian project, to be delivered within the next two years.
