Pirates mix it up

NOOSA JUNIOR PIRATES

IT WAS a mixed bag for Round 10 of the Noosa Junior Pirates season.
Under 7 Yellows faced some tough competition against the Beerwah team but stepped up to the challenge, while the Under 8 Blue team fired against the Beerwah Bulldogs with strong defence and an impressive try from Tait.
The Under 8 Yellow team showcased their crafty ball work and quick stepping, while the Under 9 Yellows faced bone-rattling defence from the Bulldogs but Taj buoyed the team’s hopes bringing out the run of the day.
The Under 10 Blue and Yellow team played really well with lots of tries and great tackling. There was so much talent on the field, there were stacks of awards handed out with man of the match awarded to Taison Haddow.
The Under 11 Blues took on Coolum putting in a great team performance, while the Under 11 Yellows travelled to Beerwah where Charlie Cook took out man of the match for his strong hits and hard tackling.
Under 13 Blue took on Palmwoods, winning their game, while the Under 13 Gold team played Nambour in an aggressive game that saw the Golds win 30-6 at full time.
Finally, the Under 15 Golds put in a hard effort with man of the match going to Steen Rutledge who is reaping the benefits of an off-season with the Young Guns.
