Bradbury skates in to golf

A SPECIAL guest appearance from gold medal-winning Olympian Steven Bradbury spurred on more than 120 golfers as they took to the tee at Noosa Springs Golf Course on Friday.
Steven shot to fame in 2002 when he won the 1000m speed skate event at the Winter Olympics after his opponents were snagged in a last-corner pile-up.
He helped raise over $20,000 for Sunshine Butterflies, which will go towards developing the Our Backyard hobby farm in Cooroibah.
After Steven arrived by helicopter he joined the more than 120 local golfers who turned out to support the event and enjoy a morning of golf to help boost the local charity.
