Noosa Today has capped off a terrific year by being awarded the prestigious ‘Golden Albert’ award as best newspaper in the Star News Group stable of publications for 2017.
The award was presented today at a special end-of-year event to celebrate staff achievements, thank contributors and recognise the impact of the publication in the local community.
The award is given for a range of criteria that covers circulation, advertising support and community relationships.
Noosa Today also recently added excellence awards presented by the Queensland Country Press Association for Best Newspaper in its circulation category, Best Newspaper with two or less journalists and Most Improved Publication.
Journalist Margie Maccoll was also awarded third place for overall excellence for a journalist.
