Festival brings friends together

THE annual Bunya Dreaming celebration will be held on 25 January for a day of understanding, information sharing and community strengthening.
The family-friendly event will start on 24 January with a pre-Bunya music gig featuring Neil Murray, from noon until dusk.
Entry to the gig is a $25 donation per person, with camping available for $10.
The Bunya Dreaming festival aims to create an understanding of Indigenous culture providing a forum for networking, information sharing and strengthening of community partnership.
The festival will feature activities such as Bunya feasting, competitions, bushfoods, bush medicine, challenges, dance, ceremony, fire, yarning, workshops and more.
Everyone is welcome to arrive the day before the event, set up camp and then sit around the fire sharing yarns, food, music and laughter.
Cost is $50 per person for two days and three nights or $100 per family for two days and three nights.
Bunya Dreaming will be held on 25 January, from 11am at Mimburi, 280 Newspaper Hill Road, Belli Park.
Entry to Bunya Dreaming is a $10 donation per person, camping is $10 per person and entry to challenges is a $2 donation per person.
