Start of season win for Eagles

By JULES ROSENKRANZ

AFTER weeks of training and preparation Noosa Eagles could put their plans into action. For our first game of the season the skies were looking a bit grey as we all headed south for our respective games.
Under 8 Gold had a great game to start the season with a 3-1 victory over the Chancellor Crocs. Goals were scored by Harrison Howard, Montannah Ward and Joel Fitzgerald scoring the goal of the day and the player of the match trophy.
For the Under 9 Black team it was black on black drawing one all against Caloundra Black, the game was tight all the way through and could have gone either way, so a draw was the perfect way to finish. The goal for Noosa Black was scored by Alaska Rosenkranz and Jake MacDonald took home the player of the week award doing a great job in the defence line. Isaac Benjamin and Josh Plant as goalies blocked plenty of attempts at goal, while Thompson Nimac had a strong presence in attack.
Under 11 Noosa Gold were defeated by Siena Panthers at Sippy Downs 1-6. It was a great game by all but unfortunately they were down three players, however one goal was scored by Innocent Sibanda.
